Evil Urges sees My Morning Jacket rattle their own cage, venturing down a few dark paths, leaving the confines of the Southern Rock that earned them early praise & success. “Highly Suspicious” bears hilarious, drill sergeant chorus vocals & lyrics about a “peanut butter surprise“ (?!), all grooving over some serious stoner riffage.
