best of 2008... so far...

We are now on the backside of this year. Totally frightening, I know, but this point of no return presents an opportunity to reflect on the past 6 months or so & evaluate how this year is doing. So here are our staff “so far in 2008” lists.

You’ll notice a few titles coming up on a consistent basis: Plants & Animals, Black Mountain, Portishead, Hercules & Love Affair – these are definitely titles that will see many critics’ year-end lists as well as our own epic final year end lists. Much of this stuff has been profiled here on the site with streaming tracks at some point. So you can link directly from this page to sample stuff you’ve missed & get a good sense of what 2008 is about so far…
